The Blog
In this post we present two articles and a video which discuss the power the arts have on learning and achievement. Elliot Eisner was a professor of Art and Education at the Stanford Graduate School of Education. He was a leader in educational research found that the arts are an integral component on developing broad and creative thinking. We've included a synopsis of his argument for art eduction and an interview where he discusses this in greater detail. The final article is from Critical Evidence, a publication funded by the Department of Education and National Endowment for the Arts. This article asks and answers the question about the arts influence on learning and achievement.
